Google Site
is playing a very important role in our lives. It is FREE, EFFECTIVE,SEARCH ENGINE FRIENDLY AND EASY TO USE. I am not web designer or IT engineer. I have been thinking to make a website for years, when I was ready to design a website, the design I am using now, I discussed with many website designers but when I got their prices all the quotations were in thousands of Pounds. I could not afford to pay such a huge amount. Then one day I got an email from GBBO offering a free website, free website making tools, free hosting for 2 years and unlimited website pages to upload. Wow!!!! Great, this is what I wanted.
I started to build this site took about 6 months to design pages but these pages were not search able, and it was just a little fault, I did not upload my XML Sitemap.
It took 2 months to understand how to upload Google XML sitemap because Google resources were too difficult for me to understand because they put all the information for professionals. I tried YOUTUBE and many other different website those teach how to upload Google XML Sitemap but nothing helped me.
Eventually, after a hard struggle, I found out the way to upload Google XML Sitemap and................ it was so easy to upload. This struggle gave me a sense that there should be millions who have the same trouble. That is the reason you are here.
Google XML Sitemap Uploading steps.
First Step:
you need to verify your site if you have verified it already then go to http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ and put your domain name and you will find some options there. 1: "Change frequency" put "Always" 2: "Last modification" tick "use this date time" 3: Priority" put "automatic" then press START button.
You have to save this file somewhere where you can find easily. (one step is done)
On the top left corner you will find a button called UPLOAD just click there and it will bring a small window now there are two options just TICK (upload attachment to/(top level) and Browse your Sitemap file (be careful you should not rename the file otherwise it will not work)and click upload. You Sitemap is uploaded now on the top level but.........you need to verify your Sitemap with Google Webmaster Tools.
Open you Webmaster tools, you can go there using button My Account button on the right top of your Google site then click webmaster tools.
Now you will see if your website is verified that is fine if not then you have to verify and if you cannot do it please send me a message. If it verified then take further step, just click on your site link and you will be at webmaster tools Home page.
Now, click " site configuration" then click on "Sitemap". If you have added some file there just delete that. It should be clear and no file should be there.
Now click "Submit a Sitemap" then you will find a little bar all you have to write there is " sitemap.xml" AND submit.
I am sure your sitemap will be uploaded.
Your site is now being crawled, ready for indexing and Google Search Engine will bring your site in search but don't forget, it will not happen in a minute you need to wait, go to Webmaster Tools and see if your sitemap has Green Tick Sign there.

Second Step:
Then go to your Google site, Sign In by your gmail account because you are going to edit some thing there. You will find 3 buttons on the top right side and one button calls MORE ACTIONS just click there when the sub window opens, you will find MANAGE SITE just click that and then you will come to your management place. Now click ATTACHMENTS you will find some files there but now you have to be careful.On the top left corner you will find a button called UPLOAD just click there and it will bring a small window now there are two options just TICK (upload attachment to/(top level) and Browse your Sitemap file (be careful you should not rename the file otherwise it will not work)and click upload.
